On Tuesday 26th June we welcomed Bishop Patrick to the parish to celebrate the sacrament of confirmation. The Mass was held at the Convent Chapel, where the Bishop conferred the sacrament on the young people and adults who had completed the confirmation course. Congratulations to them, and many thanks to the Catechists, Sister Dorothy Paul who is responsible for the program in the parish, and everyone else involved.

Bishop Patrick also presented several parishioners with medals and certificates to thank them for their long standing contribution to the Catholic faith and community. David was presented with the Benemerenti Medal, with Frances and John receiving the St Hugh of Lincoln Medal. Thank you to David, Frances and John for your hard work and effort, it is very much appreciated.

Two parishioners, Ann and Sister Barbara, were also due to be presented with the St Hugh of Lincoln Medal but were unable to receive them from Bishop Patrick as they both happened to be on their holidays.
